Langhe Arneis – Prunotto – DOCG – 2023

From a family estate in Piedmont’s Langhe region. Prunotto Langhe DOC Arneis was created to represent its territory, which has always been devoted to the production of Arneis, and to interpret the personality of the grape variety through a modern style that is particularly pleasant and delicate.
The 2023 vintage will be remembered for its earliness and surprise. Early because the harvest was already over at the beginning of October, and surprising because, given the weather conditions, the vines once again showed exceptional resistance. Winter conditions were unusual from the start of the season, with mild, dry conditions persisting throughout the growing season. The significant lack of rainfall and above-average temperatures in June and July caused the vines to react by limiting vegetative growth and reducing the size of the bunches. In these conditions, perfectly healthy grapes reached maturity, but the berries were smaller and had high levels of sugar concentration.
