Château Angélus 2025 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru : 99-100
The Château Angélus 2025 is a red wine from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. It is a Premier Grand Cru Classé A, recognized as one of Bordeaux’s top estates.
The vineyard covers around 85 hectares and is mainly located on the southern slopes of Saint-Émilion. The soils are composed of clay and limestone, with well-exposed hillsides that ensure a slow and complete ripening of the grapes.
The estate is traditionally dominated by Cabernet Franc and Merlot. This blend defines the signature style of Angélus: Cabernet Franc brings tension, aromatic precision, and structure, while Merlot contributes volume, richness, and depth.
The 2025 vintage follows the great wines of the right bank, with a ripe yet balanced profile where concentration and freshness come together. Ageing in French oak barrels is carefully managed to add complexity, length, and finesse.
On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits, cherry, and plum are complemented by floral notes, cocoa, gentle spices, and cedarwood. On the palate, the attack is full and silky, with deep structure, very fine tannins, and a long, persistent, and elegant finish.
This is a top-level Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, combining power, precision, and exceptional ageing potential.
