Marchesi Antinori

Founded in 1385, Marchesi Antinori is one of the oldest family-owned wine companies in the world. For more than 26 generations, the Antinori family has played a leading role in the evolution of Italian viticulture while remaining deeply committed to the great terroirs of Tuscany and Umbria.

The Tignanello estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, on hillsides composed of limestone soils and schist known as alberese and galestro. These terroirs provide ideal conditions for Sangiovese, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Introduced in the 1970s, Tignanello is regarded as one of the first Super Tuscans. It revolutionised Italian winemaking by breaking away from the traditional Chianti regulations in favour of quality and the pure expression of terroir.

Today, Tignanello remains a global benchmark, celebrated for the elegance, precision, and extraordinary ageing potential of its wines.
