Chapelle d’Ausone 2018 is the second wine of the legendary Château Ausone, one of the most prestigious estates in Saint-Émilion. Sourced from the same exceptional limestone slopes, this 2018 vintage, marked by ideal climatic conditions, delivers a wine of great depth, combining richness, precision and elegance. More approachable in its youth than the grand vin, it nevertheless retains notable complexity and ageing potential.

The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits, black cherry and plum, complemented by notes of violet, truffle, cedar, fine spices and a subtle touch of oak. On the palate, the texture is silky and ample, with fine, perfectly integrated tannins. The wine is harmonious, deep and beautifully fresh, leading to a long and refined finish.

The Estate

Château Ausone is one of only two estates classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A in Saint-Émilion (historical classification). Located on exceptional limestone slopes, the estate produces wines renowned for their finesse, aromatic intensity and remarkable ageing potential. Chapelle d’Ausone is its second wine, made from specific selections of younger vineyard parcels.
