From the limestone slopes of Saint-Émilion, Chapelle d’Ausone 2019 is the second wine of the prestigious Château Ausone. It benefits from the same exceptional terroir as the grand vin, with a more accessible approach while maintaining a high level of quality and precision.

The 2019 vintage, particularly successful in Bordeaux, delivers a harmonious and expressive wine. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and raspberry, complemented by floral notes of violet, as well as hints of graphite, cocoa, and gentle spices. Oak ageing adds depth and elegance without overshadowing the fruit.

On the palate, the texture is silky and well-structured. The tannins are fine and perfectly integrated, supporting a rich and concentrated fruit core. The finish is long, fresh, and refined, marked by red and black fruits and a subtle mineral touch.

Château Ausone is one of the most iconic estates in Saint-Émilion, classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé A (historical). Located on the limestone slopes of the appellation, it benefits from a rare and highly sought-after terroir.

The vineyard sits on limestone soils that provide ideal conditions for Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the estate’s dominant grape varieties. This combination produces wines of great finesse, with an elegant structure and remarkable depth.
