Located at the gateway to the Côte de Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune is an appellation renowned for producing approachable, expressive and fruit-driven red wines, perfect for everyday enjoyment. Joseph Drouhin’s Chorey-lès-Beaune reveals vibrant aromas of fresh red berries, delicate spices and a subtle hint of licorice. On the palate, it offers a supple texture, silky tannins and lively freshness, resulting in a beautifully balanced wine with a long, fruity finish. Traditional winemaking, carried out with great care, preserves the purity of Pinot Noir while expressing the unique character of the terroir. An excellent companion to simple yet flavourful dishes such as grilled poultry, charcuterie or mild cheeses, this wine charms with its freshness, elegance and inviting character.
Since 1880, Maison Joseph Drouhin has embodied the story of a family devoted to the great wines of Burgundy. Today, the estate spans 100 hectares across some of the region’s most prestigious climats. From the very beginning, the House has distinguished itself through its unwavering commitment to quality, deep respect for the terroir, and dedication to showcasing the diversity of Burgundy’s appellations.
Joseph Drouhin quickly combined the roles of wine merchant, producer, and vineyard owner. Generation after generation, the family strengthened the House’s reputation by acquiring iconic vineyard parcels in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune, and beyond.
Each generation has been guided by a strong sense of ethics and a constant pursuit of excellence. The unmistakable Drouhin style is defined by its finesse, elegance, and purity.
Organic and biodynamic viticulture naturally became the cornerstone of the estate’s philosophy, ensuring the authentic expression of each terroir. Today, Maison Joseph Drouhin continues to embody the perfect balance between family tradition and thoughtful innovation—a name synonymous with refinement, harmony, and a lifelong passion for Burgundy.
