Clos Floridène Blanc 2025 – Graves : 93
The Clos Floridène 2025 white is a wine from the Graves appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The estate is located in Pujols-sur-Ciron, south of Bordeaux, in a historic area of the Graves region. The soils consist of gravel mixed with clay and limestone, providing excellent drainage and strong aromatic ripening potential for white grapes.
The 2025 vintage benefits from favourable conditions, achieving a good balance between freshness and ripeness. The blend is typically dominated by Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by Sémillon and occasionally a small proportion of Muscadelle depending on the cuvée.
Winemaking focuses on precision and purity of fruit, with ageing mainly in tanks to preserve aromatic expression and the wine’s tension.
On the nose, aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, and yellow-fleshed fruits emerge. On the palate, the attack is lively and clean, followed by a supple mid-palate and an elegant, slightly saline finish.
This is a balanced and expressive Graves white, combining freshness, finesse, and approachability.
Clos Floridène – Estate
The Clos Floridène is a wine estate located in Pujols-sur-Cirons, south of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Graves appellation.
Created by professor and oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, the estate quickly established itself as a modern benchmark in the region, particularly for its precise and expressive dry white wines.
The vineyard covers around thirty hectares and is planted on typical Graves soils, composed of deep gravel mixed with clay and limestone subsoils. This geological diversity promotes a balance between freshness, ripeness, and aromatic expression.
The grape varieties are mainly Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon for the white wines, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the red wines. This structure allows the production of wines that are clean, balanced, and true to their terroir.
Viticulture is carried out with great precision, focusing on yield control and parcel-by-parcel management. Winemaking is primarily aimed at preserving aromatic purity and fresh fruit expression.
Today, Clos Floridène is recognised as a benchmark estate in the Graves, particularly appreciated for its precise, elegant, and consistently reliable white wines.
