Clos Floridène 2025 – Graves : 92
The Clos Floridène 2025 red is a wine from the Graves appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The estate is located in Pujols-sur-Ciron, south of Bordeaux, in a historic area of the Graves region. The soils consist of deep gravel mixed with clay and limestone subsoils, offering excellent drainage and strong conditions for balanced vine ripening.
The 2025 vintage benefits from favourable conditions, with even grape ripening and expressive aromatic development. The blend is typically dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc depending on the parcels.
Winemaking focuses on precision and fruit expression, with ageing in both barrels and tanks to preserve the balance between structure, freshness, and aromatic purity.
On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, cherry, and blackcurrant emerge, along with subtle notes of spice and cedar. On the palate, the attack is supple and precise, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and an elegant, harmonious finish.
This is a balanced Graves red, true to the estate’s style, combining finesse, freshness, and approachability.
Clos Floridène – Estate
The Clos Floridène is a wine estate located in Pujols-sur-Ciron, south of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Graves appellation.
Created by professor and oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, the estate has established itself as a modern benchmark in the region, known for the precision of its wines and their clear expression of terroir.
The vineyard covers around thirty hectares and is planted on typical Graves soils, composed of deep gravel mixed with clay and limestone subsoils. This geological diversity provides a good balance between ripeness, freshness, and structure.
The estate is mainly planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon for the white wines, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the red wines. This planting structure produces wines that are balanced, precise, and true to their origin.
Viticulture is carried out with great rigor, focusing on yield control and precise parcel-by-parcel management. Winemaking is oriented toward purity of fruit and aromatic expression.
Ageing is carried out in a measured way in tanks and oak barrels, preserving freshness while adding structure.
Today, Clos Floridène is considered a benchmark estate in the Graves, particularly appreciated for its clean, elegant, and highly consistent wines.
