Château Duhart-Milon 2019
From the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon 2019 precisely illustrates the classic style of great Médoc wines. Classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) in 1855, the estate delivers a highly successful vintage combining structure, elegance, and depth.
The 2019 vintage is marked by excellent grape ripeness and remarkable balance. The nose opens with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherry, complemented by notes of cedar, graphite, blond tobacco, and fine spices. Oak ageing brings a subtle toasted nuance that is perfectly integrated.
On the palate, the wine is straight and harmonious. Its structure is built on fine yet firm tannins, supported by a freshness that provides tension and length. The finish is persistent, marked by black fruit, noble wood, and a delicate mineral touch.
A serious, finely crafted Pauillac—already expressive, yet built to evolve and gain complexity over many years.
Château Duhart-Milon
Located in the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon is a prestigious estate classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) in 1855. It is considered one of the most refined expressions of Pauillac, producing wines that combine structure, elegance, and precision.
The vineyard is planted on the typical gravel soils of the Médoc, providing excellent drainage and ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, the dominant grape variety of the estate, complemented by Merlot. This terroir gives the wines depth, freshness, and strong ageing potential.
The estate belongs to the Rothschild family (Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite group) and is managed with the same exacting standards as its neighbour Château Lafite Rothschild. Parcel-by-parcel vineyard work and precise winemaking allow each vintage to fully express its character.
Château Duhart-Milon wines are known for their classic Pauillac style: structured, elegant, and built for ageing, while remaining approachable in their youth in the finest vintages.
