The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2023 Magnum from Domaine Faiveley is produced from old vines planted across several parcels within the appellation, providing excellent concentration and a faithful expression of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir. The generous and well-balanced 2023 vintage delivers a Pinot Noir that is both intense and elegant, approachable in its youth while offering excellent ageing potential.
The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, complemented by notes of violet, liquorice, undergrowth and delicately integrated oak. On the palate, the attack is broad and silky, supported by fine tannins and a harmonious structure. The finish is long, fresh and persistent, with impressive aromatic depth.
Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s great family-owned wine estates. For seven generations, the Faiveley family has cultivated an exceptional vineyard portfolio across the finest climats of the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Through meticulous vineyard management and precise winemaking, the estate faithfully expresses the distinctive character of each of its terroirs.
