Sourced from the Premier Cru Les Chaignots, located in the northern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges, this 2018 vintage from Domaine Faiveley perfectly illustrates the refined and structured character of this appellation. Benefiting from a warm yet well-balanced vintage, the wine combines intensity, freshness and precision while maintaining notable elegance.
The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, complemented by hints of violet, spice, liquorice and a subtle touch of oak. On the palate, the attack is generous and silky, supported by fine, well-structured tannins. The finish is long, fresh and harmonious, suggesting excellent ageing potential.
Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s leading family-owned wine estates. For seven generations, the Faiveley family has cultivated an exceptional vineyard heritage spread across some of the finest climats of the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Through meticulous vineyard work and precise winemaking, the estate faithfully expresses the unique character of each of its terroirs.
