Nestled in the most beautiful terroirs of the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, north of Saint-Estèphe, Domaine Sociando-Mallet proudly overlooks the Gironde estuary. This historic estate, whose first traces date back to the 17th century, has established itself over the decades as an essential reference in the Haut-Médoc.

It was in 1969 that Jean Gautreau, a passionate wine merchant, bought the ruined property. With a clear vision and uncompromising standards, he revived Sociando-Mallet and made it one of the most respected estates on the Left Bank. Today, the Gautreau family perpetuates this spirit of rigor and excellence, with a constant focus on quality, vintage after vintage.

The gravelly soils over a clay-limestone subsoil provide exceptional natural drainage and a freshness conducive to the slow and balanced ripening of the grapes. This exceptional terroir, combined with classic Médoc grape varieties—predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a hint of Cabernet Franc—produces deep, structured, and timeless wines.
