Description Estate Additional information

Château La Lagune 2025 – Haut-Médoc : 95-97/100 Pts

The Château La Lagune 2025 red is a wine from the Haut-Médoc appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux. It is a Grand Cru Classé, known for its elegant and precise style.

The vineyard lies on fine gravel ridges typical of the Haut-Médoc, offering excellent drainage and good thermal regulation. These soils allow for a gradual ripening of the grapes and a balanced aromatic expression.

The 2025 vintage benefits from favourable conditions, with good ripeness in both Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot while retaining freshness and tension. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a proportion of Petit Verdot depending on the parcels.

Ageing in French oak barrels adds structure and complexity while respecting the fruit expression and the finesse of the terroir.

On the nose, aromas of black fruits, blackcurrant, and cherry appear, along with floral notes, gentle spice, and cedar. On the palate, the attack is straight and harmonious, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish.

This is a refined Haut-Médoc, combining balance, precision, and ageing potential.

Château La Lagune – Estate

The Château La Lagune is a wine estate located in Ludon-Médoc, in the southern part of the Médoc, within the Haut-Médoc appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé of 1855.

The vineyard covers around 80 hectares, planted on fine and deep gravel ridges typical of the Médoc. These well-draining soils promote steady, balanced ripening of the grapes while preserving freshness.

The estate is mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. This grape composition produces structured, elegant wines with strong ageing potential.

The property is known for its high-quality, demanding approach, with careful viticulture and particular attention paid to vineyard balance. Winemaking is precise, with strict parcel selection.

Ageing in French oak barrels is carefully managed to add complexity and finesse without overpowering the fruit.

Today, Château La Lagune is considered a reliable benchmark in the Haut-Médoc, producing harmonious, precise wines consistently praised for their elegance and consistency.
