Vintage after vintage, Le Pin remains one of the most sought-after names in Pomerol. Produced in extremely limited quantities and crafted primarily from Merlot, this wine captivates with its depth, precision, and remarkable balance.
The 2025 vintage reveals a refined bouquet of ripe black fruits, violet, and delicate spice notes. On the palate, the texture is silky, the tannins are exceptionally fine, and the finish lingers with elegance and freshness.
A rare wine, destined for enthusiasts and collectors seeking one of the most prestigious signatures of Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
The 2025 vintage was marked by an exceptionally dry summer, which brought the Merlots of Le Pin an unparalleled level of intensity, structure, and depth.
The final days of a mild and relatively dry winter encouraged an early budbreak at the end of March. Balanced vine growth, a successful flowering, and impeccable vineyard health suggested the promise of an excellent harvest. From mid-June onwards, an extremely dry summer set in, punctuated by periods of intense heat, particularly in August.
At the end of August, welcome rainfall helped rehydrate the vines, which had been experiencing significant water stress. This allowed the grapes to reach perfect ripeness by early September.
Each parcel destined for Le Pin was harvested with great precision during two short picking sessions on September 5 and September 10.
To the great relief of the estate, the vines withstood the unprecedented climatic conditions of the summer of 2025. Throughout the season, they displayed remarkable resilience and, as harvest approached, produced very small, deeply coloured berries with thick skins.
Le Pin 2025 is a ripe and full-bodied wine, displaying the silky and exotic character that is the hallmark of the estate. It offers an intensity and precision reminiscent of the finest vintages ever produced on these deep red gravel soils.
Le Pin – Pomerol
Founded by the Thienpont family in the late 1970s, Le Pin has, in just a few decades, become one of the most iconic estates in Pomerol. Situated on a vineyard of only a few hectares, it takes its name from the umbrella pine that once stood prominently on the property.
The estate is renowned for its artisanal approach and unwavering attention to detail. Each parcel is cultivated with great precision to fully express the character of its terroir, composed of gravel and sandy soils over a clay subsoil.
Produced in extremely limited quantities, Le Pin has earned a worldwide reputation for wines that combine richness, finesse, and elegance. Today, it remains one of Bordeaux’s most coveted cuvées and an essential reference for lovers of great Pomerol wines.
