Vieux Château Certan is one of Pomerol’s historic and iconic wines, owned by the Thienpont family since 1924.

Located in the heart of the Certan plateau, the estate covers 14 contiguous hectares, divided into 23 plots with varied soils: deep clay, gravel, and clay-gravel.
This exceptional terroir, combined with vines over 50 years old, allows for a precise and complex expression of the grape varieties—primarily Merlot, accompanied by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Alexandre and Guillaume Thienpont perpetuate a demanding viticulture, combining finesse, rigor, and elegance.
