CHÂTEAU TROPLONG MONDOT 2025 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé: 98–100 pts
Château Troplong Mondot is one of the greatest estates in Saint-Émilion and is recognized as one of the most emblematic Premiers Grands Crus Classés of the appellation. Perched on the highest point of the limestone plateau, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir that produces wines of great depth, density, and power.
The vineyard rests on a unique soil composed of limestone, clay, and marl, providing excellent water regulation and slow, even ripening of the grapes. This combination gives the wines a solid structure and remarkable aromatic complexity.
The 2025 vintage stands out for its remarkable concentration and refined balance. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits, plum, and black cherry, along with floral notes, sweet spices, and mineral nuances.
On the palate, the attack is ample, rich, and perfectly structured. The wine is dense yet silky, supported by fine tannins and a freshness that balances its natural power. The whole expresses great harmony between intensity, elegance, and precision.
The finish is long, deep, and persistent, marked by fine minerality and notes of black fruits and spices.
Troplong Mondot 2025 fully embodies the style of the estate: a powerful, refined, and pure wine, built for very long ageing in cellar.
