CANON 2025 – 1st Grand Cru Classé B, Saint-Émilion – Case of 6 bottles : 100/100 pts
Located on the renowned limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, Château Canon stands among the most essential references of the appellation. The 2025 vintage expresses the identity of its terroir with precision, combining finesse, freshness, and depth.
The wine seduces with a refined bouquet of red and black fruits, lifted by delicate floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the texture is silky, supported by elegant tannins and a remarkable mineral tension. The overall impression is one of balance, purity, and length, with exceptional ageing potential.
A great Saint-Émilion of character, combining controlled power and refinement, made for lovers of the finest Bordeaux wines.
Located on the prestigious limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, Château Canon is one of the most emblematic estates of the appellation. Founded in the 18th century by Jacques Kanon, a Scottish wine merchant, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir composed mainly of limestone with fossil deposits and clay, particularly well-suited to the expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Spanning approximately 34 hectares as a single block, the vineyard occupies a privileged position on the heights of Saint-Émilion, offering ideal conditions for slow and balanced grape ripening. The extensive underground limestone quarries running beneath the estate also contribute to the natural regulation of humidity and temperature.
Owned by the house of Chanel since 1996, Château Canon has benefited from significant investments aimed at enhancing its heritage while preserving the unique identity of its terroir. Today, it is recognized for producing wines of great precision, combining elegance, freshness, depth, and remarkable ageing potential, making Canon one of the leading references on Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
