The recently deceased oenologist Denis Dubourdieu produced his own wines at Château Reynon, an inheritance from his family-in-law, in addition to his activities as consultant to numerous Bordeaux châteaux and professor at the Bordeaux oenology faculty. His family, supported by the estate’s technical team, continues production today with the same commitment to excellence.
The Reynon vineyard covers 26 hectares on a remarkable terroir: deep gravel on clay at the top of the slope, a more chalky zone at mid-slope, and sandy at the foot of the slope.
Denis Dubourdieu was first and foremost a Sauvignon specialist. Reynon’s 100% Sauvignon Blancs boast notes of grapefruit and white peach, with the mineral freshness of the limestone terroir.
Susceptible to remarkable evolution in bottle over several years!
