Miraval Blanc
THE MILLENNIUM
The winter was dry and mild, followed by a wet and cold spring with a few frosts causing some damage. Despite this, flowering went perfectly but the quantity was limited (-50% compared with the average). The hot, dry summer ensured that the vines remained in perfect health, with regular tillage to keep the soil cool. The harvest was rather early, and took place under very good conditions between 9 September and 1 October. In the cellar, the excellent quality of the grapes meant that vinification was carried out with very little intervention. The wines promise to be magnificent, with good acidity, plenty of minerality and delicious citrus notes.
LOCATION
Château de Miraval is one of the few vineyards in Provence to have its own valley in the commune of Correns, in the south of France.
Correns, north of Brignoles.
It covers two appellations: Côteaux Varois en Provence (to the north-west) and Côtes de
Provence (to the east of the estate).
TERROIR
The vineyard is planted on a gentle slope (between 5 and 9%) on clay-limestone soils. The subsoil is composed of Keuper marl. These clays have a small internal surface area and are particularly suited to the great white grape varieties.

(50% of the cuvée).
