Among the benchmark white wines of Bordeaux, Château Carbonnieux Blanc stands as one of the flagship wines of the Pessac-Léognan appellation and the Graves Grand Cru Classé classification. Located in the heart of a vast historic estate, the château benefits from an exceptional terroir of deep gravel soils resting on clay-limestone subsoils, particularly well suited to the production of great age-worthy white wines.
The vineyard dedicated to white grape varieties is cultivated with the utmost care to preserve the freshness and aromatic expression of the terroir. The blend is based primarily on Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by Sémillon, creating a remarkable balance of vibrancy, complexity, and elegance.
The 2025 vintage impresses with its purity and precision. The bouquet reveals notes of fresh citrus fruits, grapefruit, exotic fruits, white flowers, and delicate mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine stands out for its brilliant freshness, harmonious texture, and long saline finish. Both refined and intense, Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2025 perfectly embodies the style of the great white wines of Graves.

Château Carbonnieux is one of the most prestigious historic estates in the Bordeaux vineyard. Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, this Graves Grand Cru Classé boasts a history dating back to the 13th century and enjoys an international reputation thanks to the outstanding quality of its red and white wines.
Since 1956, the estate has been managed by the Perrin family, who have undertaken extensive modernization of both the vineyard and winery facilities while preserving the property’s historic identity. Today, Château Carbonnieux covers nearly 170 hectares, including approximately 92 hectares of vineyards planted on deep gravel terroirs that are particularly well suited to the production of high-quality wines.
The parcels dedicated to white wines occupy a privileged position within the estate. Planted mainly with Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, they benefit from perfectly drained gravel soils that promote aromatic concentration, freshness, and elegance. Sustainable vineyard practices and deliberately controlled yields allow the full richness of the terroir to be expressed.
Recognized as one of Bordeaux’s leading producers of dry white wines, Château Carbonnieux crafts wines renowned for their precision, aromatic complexity, and exceptional ageing potential. Each vintage elegantly reflects the balance between tradition, innovation, and respect for the terroir that has characterized the estate for generations.
