The Château Lynch-Bages 2021 is an iconic wine from the Pauillac appellation, classified as a Fifth Growth (Cinquième Grand Cru Classé) in the 1855 classification.
Made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this 2021 vintage shows great precision and balance.
The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, fresh dark berries and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is structured and elegant, with fine tannins and a fresh, lingering finish.
Perfect with red meats, grilled rib of beef, roast lamb or slow-cooked dishes. It also pairs very well with selected aged cheeses.
A precise and balanced Pauillac, combining finesse with good ageing potential.
Château Lynch-Bages is one of the most renowned estates in the Pauillac appellation. Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, it owes its reputation to the consistency of its wines and its distinctive, confident style.
The vineyard lies on gravelly hilltops typical of Pauillac, ideally suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, which dominates the blends. These well-draining soils allow optimal ripening of the grapes while preserving freshness and balance.
Owned by the family of Jean-Michel Cazes, the estate has evolved over time while remaining true to its identity. Recent investments in both vineyard and cellar reflect an ongoing commitment to precision.
Lynch-Bages produces structured, direct and consistent wines, widely recognised for their ageing potential and their faithful expression of the Pauillac terroir.
