The Estate – Château Rauzan-Ségla

Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, Château Rauzan-Ségla is one of Bordeaux’s most historic and prestigious names. Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, the estate dates back to the 17th century and has established itself over time as a benchmark of Bordeaux’s Left Bank.

The vineyard spans approximately 70 hectares as a single block, planted on the renowned gravel soils of Margaux, composed of pebbles, sand, and clay. This exceptional terroir is ideal for producing wines of great aromatic finesse, marked by the elegance and complexity typical of the appellation.

The vineyard is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Petit Verdot, and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, allowing for subtle and harmonious blends. Under the ownership of the house of Chanel since 1994, Rauzan-Ségla has undergone a major renaissance, supported by significant investments in both vineyards and winemaking facilities.

Today, the château is recognized for producing wines of remarkable precision, combining refinement, depth, and balance, perfectly embodying the legendary elegance of great Margaux wines.
