Ramos Pinto Vintage 2020 – Ervamoira, Porto

The Ramos Pinto Vintage 2020 is a great Vintage Port from Quinta de Ervamoira, one of the emblematic estates of the Ramos Pinto house, located in the Douro Valley.

The nose reveals beautiful intensity, with aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, blackberry and violet, complemented by spicy and chocolatey notes. On the palate, it is powerful and concentrated, with generous texture, firm yet elegant tannins and a lovely freshness that brings balance to the wine. The finish is long, complex and persistent.

A Vintage Port with excellent ageing potential, rich, structured and precise. It can be enjoyed now after good aeration, but will develop even greater complexity with several years of bottle ageing. It is an ideal match for blue cheese, a dark chocolate dessert, or simply for savouring at the end of a meal.

Founded in 1880, Ramos Pinto is one of the great historic names of Porto and the Douro. The house has distinguished itself through its exacting approach to viticulture and its in-depth knowledge of the Douro’s diverse terroirs.

Located in the Douro Superior, Quinta de Ervamoira is one of Ramos Pinto’s emblematic estates. Set in a spectacular landscape of valleys and schist soils, it benefits from particularly favourable conditions for producing concentrated, aromatic and elegant wines. The estate is especially renowned for the quality of its traditional Douro grape varieties.

Ramos Pinto places great importance on expressing the character of each individual plot and adapts its winemaking to the specific characteristics of the grapes.
