All the typicality of Pauillac in a gourmet and velvety wine
The property
2nd Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac, the magnificent Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande shines on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
The vineyard which is at the origin of the Réserve de Pichon Comtesse represents 73 cultivated hectares. The 35-year-old vines are cultivated according to the principles of sustainable viticulture. Part of the vineyard, 28 hectares, is conducted biodynamically.
Tasting
The nose combines typical notes of the Pauillac appellation between sap and graphite as well as fruity notes reminiscent of strawberries, supported by floral touches of lilac. The Réserve Pichon Comtesse then reveals a gourmet mouth as the bouquet would suggest. Long and sappy on the palate, the wine is velvety and tense with a nice acidity. The expression of the Pauillac terroir is present in the flavors of red fruits mixed with sandalwood and cedar.
