Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Derived from a more precise parcel selection at Château Coutet, Cuvée Demoiselle 2025 embodies a more delicate and refined interpretation of the Saint-Émilion terroir. This vintage stands out for its aromatic elegance, refined texture, and particularly harmonious balance.
Mainly crafted from Merlot, complemented by a touch of Cabernet Franc, this cuvée reveals a subtle yet expressive bouquet of fresh red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, along with delicate floral notes of violet and light spicy nuances.
On the palate, the wine is silky, airy, and precisely defined. The tannins are fine and almost caressing, providing elegant structure without excess power. The natural freshness of the Saint-Émilion terroir brings tension and precision, highlighting the purity of the fruit.
The carefully managed oak ageing supports the wine with discretion and finesse, enhancing aromatic complexity without ever overshadowing the fruit expression. The finish is long, delicate, and harmonious, marked by fruity and lightly floral notes.
More feminine and ethereal in style, Cuvée Demoiselle 2025 represents a finer and more approachable expression of Château Coutet, while still retaining the ageing potential characteristic of great Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines.
Cuvée Demoiselle de Coutet comes from a more rigorous, parcel-based selection within the vineyards of Château Coutet, located on the slopes of Saint-Émilion. It represents a finer and more delicate interpretation of the work carried out at the estate, highlighting the most elegant and expressive parcels of the terroir.
The Château Coutet estate, planted on the typical clay-limestone soils of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, benefits from an environment well suited to the expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. For this cuvée, only the highest-quality grapes are selected in order to prioritise finesse, precision, and aromatic purity.
Cuvée Demoiselle is primarily made from Merlot, complemented by a proportion of Cabernet Franc. This selection results in a wine that is more airy and delicate than the estate’s main wine, while still retaining the identity and structure typical of Saint-Émilion.
Vinification is carried out with great care, with a focus on achieving the purest expression of fruit and terroir. Ageing in French oak barrels is carefully managed and discreet, preserving the cuvée’s elegant and approachable style while adding subtle complexity.
Today, Cuvée Demoiselle de Coutet embodies a more refined, parcel-driven vision of the estate, offering an elegant and harmonious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru that reflects the craftsmanship of Château Coutet.
